Toes in the water

It's that time of year.... for sun, sand and surf! No matter if your adventures take you to the East Coast... The West Coast... Disney's Beach Club... or the neighborhood pool... you're 'shore' to love creating pages with Keystone's sweet new beach kit!
Toes In The Water

Created using a soft ocean side color palette of pinks, purples, blues and yellow shades, this kit will be sure to please! 18 papers and over 50 elements...including some adorable little swimmers will be sure to compliment any summertime page! There's even a full alpha included!
Purchase Toes in the Water this week.... and receive the matching cardstock papers for FREE!

Because of all the boat elements included in this kit, it was perfect to scrap this page

Did you pick up the prize that Keystone supplied for my weekly challenge at Mousescrappers last week?? If not... you can still get it! Post Dated has also been added to the store! Its a fun way to date all your pages! All the elements were created in blue.... but they are very easy to recolor and match your pages! Also included are 2 stamp frames... so you can make you own stamp to cancel!

Because I couldn't get enough of the kit I made a second layout with Toes in the Water. Doesn't Post Dated looks awesome on this page?

To thank you for stopping by... I made a little goodie for you!
I hope you like it!

Weekly challenge host + tutorial!

I’m hosting the Weekly Challenge over at Mousescrappers. Look at this wonderful date element pack that Melissa and Paula from Keystone Scraps donated!!!!

With this challenge comes a tutorial and I love to share that with you!!
Tutorial Cut out
I Love this technique so much!!!  It gives that little extra to your layout so that it becomes absolutly amazing! I splitted the tutorial into three parts: Cut out elements, cut out with the marquee tool and cut out shapes.
Elements: (This methode  also works  great with cutting out text!)
Place your  papers and the element that you want to cut out in a new file. Ctrl+click on the tumbnail of the element to select it:

Select the top paper and click delete:

Deselect, delete the element (if you don’t want to use it anymore) and add shadow:

Marquee tool:

Place two papers in a new file. Select the Marquee tool you wish to use, make the selection on the top paper and press delete:

Deselect and add shadows:

Shapes:
Place two papers in a new file and select the shape tool of you’re choice:

Place the shape (the same way as a selection) and go to the tab paths:

Right click on Shape 1 vector mask, then click on “make a selection”:

Click on OK:

Return to the tab layers, select the top paper and click the delete button:

Deselect , delete the shape and add shadows:

To make it clear I made the cut out in the tutorial first. Sometimes it’s better to make you’re page first and than make the cut outs.
If there’s anything that’s not clear or if you have questions please let me know!!!  Have fun and experiment away!!!! Hope to see you at the Weekly Challenge!!!!

Lets take a stroll down Main Street!

As you walk through the entrance into Magic Kingdom and stand in the middle of Town Square, you can't help but gasp at the beauty of Main Street as it leads your eye towards Cinderella's Castle. It just takes your breath away! Inspired by Walt Disney's childhood and Lady In The Tramp, Main Street's decor is early 20th-century small town America. You can browse up and down Main Street, stopping in the shops or grabbing a quick bite. Just the thought of standing in the middle of Main Street as you start your day at Magic Kingdom is enough to give you goosebumps!!

Here's something else that will give you goosebumps.... Kellybell Designs and Keystone Scraps have teamed up together to create TWO kits inspired by Main Street. Their Creative Teams have worked on layouts to showcase both layouts! And the teams are offering a Word Art Blog Train! Can it get any better than that!! So grab yourself a cinnamon roll or croissant from the Main Street Bakery, have a seat in your cafe chair, and take a look at these beautiful kits. We proudly present to you...

WALKING DOWN MAIN STREET

These kits really capture the old fashioned elegance and tradition of Main Street. The color scheme of peach, green and cream blend well with all the quaint shops and eateries. Kellybell's kit features 10 papers and over 45 elements along with a full gold alpha. Keystone Scraps kit features 20 papers, a full scalloped alpha and over 70 elements. The kits are sold separately in Kellybell's Store and Keystone Scraps Store.
Both kits are on sale at 25% off thru Sunday night! So be sure to pick them both up!

Take a look at what I scrapped by combining these beautiful kits.

As a special bonus to you, both Creative Teams have gotten together to offer you a blog train full of word art. Make sure you stop by each member's blog to grab your goodies. In the end, you'll have a fabulous set of word art titles!! You should have arrived here from Jo's blog. Next stop will be Gayle's blog. If you get lost along the way, the whole train is listed below... so just hop back on track! Enjoy the train ride and happy scrapping!!
